Coding Camp: Fundamentals of Web Development
The Program
Ever thought about making your own website? Our Web Development Fundamentals course is the ideal starting point for students taking their first steps in the world of web creation. Whether you've never written a line of code or just tinkered a bit, this course is designed for beginners, offering a mix of insightful learning and hands-on activities in the enthralling domain of web development.
Course Structure
The journey consists of 10 immersive lessons, each divided into two distinct sessions. The first session of each lesson introduces students to the theoretical aspects of web development. Meanwhile, the following session delves into practical application and experimentation. This combination of theory and practice ensures students achieve a comprehensive understanding of the covered topics.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is a step-by-step guide into web development. First up is HTML, which sets the basic structure of websites. Think of it as the frame of a house. Next, we dive into CSS, adding colors, styles, and layouts—essentially, the decor. Alongside these lessons, students engage in mini-projects, turning theory into actual web pages. We spice up learning with interactive challenges, ensuring students grasp each concept fully. By the end, they'll be equipped not just with knowledge, but with the real skills to create their own piece of the web.
Final Goal - The Capstone Project
Beyond just assimilating knowledge, the course emphasizes real-world application. Culminating their learnings, each student will embark on a capstone project, conceptualizing and constructing their personalized website. This tangible creation not only demonstrates their acquired skills but also stands as a digital portfolio piece to be shared with peers, family, and potential future opportunities.
